A massive congratulations to these 6 competitors (with P.U.M.A. Chairman Master Gayle) on being selected for the ITF-England Team competing at the ITF European Championships in Maribor, Slovenia in April 2018.
A massive congratulations to the 6 competitors from P.U.M.A. (pictured with PUMA Chairman, Master Ray Gayle VIII) who have been selected to represent England at the ITF European Championships in Maribor, Slovenia in April 2018. The selection process involved competing at the ITF-England Championships back in October 2017 and performing at two Assessment Days this year. For adult categories each Nation can only select two competitors for each category to send to the European Championships, and three for junior categories - so being selected is an impressive feat in itself.
Congratulations to all 6 competitors on their selection, the adults pictured (left to right) are -
- Adam Swain, selected for Senior Male 4th-6th Degree Patterns
- Philip Whitlock, selected for Senior Male -78kg Sparring
- Jennifer Swain, selected for Senior Female 4th-6th Degree Patterns,
The road to Maribor will see them compete at the PUMA International Open, train at PUMA National Squad training sessions as well as sessions with the ITF-England National Team.
If you would like to be in their shoes in the future train hard in your classes, and come along to the National Squad training sessions - which are open to Taekwon-Do and Kickboxing students of all ages and grades.
We hope you will join us in wishing them all the best of fortunes in their preparations and at the competition itself!
The real hard work begins now, and the next stop is the PUMA International Open next weekend.
Good luck in your training team; have no regrets in your preparation. Compete hard and in the spirit of Taekwon-Do.
