This year’s P.U.M.A. International Open Taekwon-Do Championships were exceptional. We had around 435 competitors from 6 countries, including:  England, Wales, Netherlands, Italy, USA and India. There were many different associations and it made for a competitive, yet friendly event.

Firstly, we have to say a big thank you to PUMA’s Masters and the organisation team that helped with the smooth running of the event. A thank you to the officials and helpers that gave up their time to make the event a success. Also, a thank you and congratulations to all the competitors who took part, learnt, and came away with medals.

Six rings ran all day, with the black belt divisions in the morning and colour belt divisions in the afternoon. There were many great performances from our PUMA competitors. It was great to see the junior and senior squad members coming away with some shiny medals including many golds and earning themselves the title of P.U.M.A. International Open, Taekwon-Do Champion!

At the end of the day we totalled up the money raised, supporting Abby’s Heroes and Mind. Both are charities that are close to PUMA’s heart, and with thanks to the registration team we raised a total of £315!

Next year we hope to make the tournament even better than this year! So, stay tuned and look out for the event date in February of 2020.
