PUMA Point Stop Championships [Review]
The Point Stop Championships used to be a regular feature on the PUMA calendar, but had been absent for a few years. Mr Tettmar was the drive behind getting it back for 2019, held in Newbury on the 29th March. The day was a huge success with over 200 competitors in attendance from 23 schools, supported by 43 officials.
Mr Tettmar, who organised the event, said:
The feedback from all of the competitors and officials was overwhelmingly positive & everybody seemed to enjoy the day. We really wanted it to be a fun event and to bring a real team spirit to the occasion, which it seemed to achieve.
The most exiting feedback for me was that I had messages saying that it felt like the previous point-stop competitions, where our members had a fun day out and it had a real feel good vibe about the day.
Hopefully I have learnt a lot from organising the event; and going forward the rules and entry system should be clearer for next year! I’m so pleased that it was a successful competition that we can add to the PUMA calendar for students & instructors to enjoy in future years to come.
I would like to thank all of the instructors, competitors, officials/helpers and spectators that made the day a success & commend everybody’s hard work in supporting the event.
