The Professional Unification of Martial Arts is proud to announce that it has attained the ‘The Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts for Governing Organisations.

P.U.M.A. has always taken its responsibility to the welfare of its students very seriously, and can now prove its commitment by helping lead the way along with the small number of other governing organisations who were part of the work that went into creating this new option within the scheme.

Ms Louise Reeve, P.U.M.A. Designated Safeguard Lead said “I am thrilled to be able to let our members know we have attained this award and we will continue to move forward, promoting best practice in Martial Arts education in the years to come. This has been the culmination of a great many years of hard work from the safeguarding team and PUMA as a whole, and I feel greatly honoured to have been a part of it. Our member schools are working hard to complete the Safeguarding Code process themselves and we congratulate those who have already attained the Code and encourage any remaining schools to do so as soon as possible.

Thanks to Sport England and the Safeguarding Code Team for helping make this happen.
