Following a successful trial the PUMA Squad Coaches will be hosting another session on Sunday 24th May. It's a great way to experience squad training. Read on for more details
After the success of the first session the second online PUMA Squad training Session will take place on Zoom this Sunday (link available from your instructor).
The session will once again run for roughly 2 hours from 10-12 although we will open up the meeting at 09:30. Our plan is to use breakout rooms for the technical section so that we can break down into groups and so I would ask that you aim to be logged on by 09:45 at the latest. Taekwon-Do students, once you have logged in you don't need to stay by your device but I would ask that you leave your belt in easy view of you camera (black belts showing degree grades) so that we can move people into the relevant groups and aim to get started at 10:00.
The session is open to all PUMA Taekwon-Do and Kickboxing students with a valid licence and the rough format will be as follows:
Warm Up: We would ask that you warm yourself up prior to the session so that you are ready to go when we start. Make sure that you get your pulse rate up a bit and do some dynamic stretching. Kickboxers, please join at the beginning to guarantee your spot but you can then relax or spend your time doing a really good warm up whilst the technical part of the session is underway. If we have lots of kick boxers then we can look at including technical instruction in future sessions.
Technical (Taekwon-Do): 35 minutes
Sparring (All Disciplines): 35 minutes
Power Test (All Disciplines): 20 minutes
Physical (All Disciplines): 20 minutes
Psychology (All Disciplines): 5 minutes
Please have a drink with you although we will give short breaks at various points during the session.
The session will be limited to 100 participants (where multiple family members are training then where possible we ask that only one slot is used).
Dress Code: Dobok bottoms and t-shirt with belt (you can wear a full dobok/training suit if you prefer but it isn't required.
Payment: We understand that financially these are hard times at the moment and likely to be for sometime to come. If you are able we would be grateful of a voluntary donation (suggested £5) to support the PUMA Squad and it's members representing PUMA in competition. All fees paid will go towards funding the squad when things get back to normal. Please do not pay prior to the session but after you have attended (just in case we fill the 100 slots and you are not able to attend etc). Payment details available from your instructor or PUMA Head Coach Mr Lammin.
