P.U.M.A.s first in-person competition since early 2020 saw the return of the Junior Championships on 3rd October. A competition focussed towards our younger members - TKD and KB students under 16 as well as our 4-7 year old Little PUMAs.
Congratulations to all those students who entered the competition. That first step is often the hardest! We hope you enjoyed the day and made some new friends or caught up with old ones while you were there. Thank you very much to all the officials and support staff who gave up their time to support the event - we couldn't do it without you!
A review from Rich M a parent at Nettlebed & Watlington TKD
As a student competing or a parent spectating, Sunday's PUMA Junior Championships 2021 had something for everyone. The well organised and varied selection of events meant that every student had the opportunity to choose a discipline that suited them. If the high kick isn’t your thing, no drama, maybe the Jang Bong or Bully Bob sparring will be the event for you?
On the day I was privileged to witness some amazing examples of skill and dedication. From a white belt student performing an impressive four corner block, to black belts displaying their technical superiority in sparring. This demonstrated to lower grade students what it takes to reach the dizzy heights of top level of Taekwon-Do. I found the day inspirational and I know my son did too. The event had a really friendly atmosphere and was a credit to the organisers and officials that made it all happen.
